On your marks! Public Realm Landscaping & Integrated Artwork.

Located within the landmark Stratford Waterfront cultural district, from the entrance to London’s iconic V&A East Museum, this large-scale public realm scheme delivers a distinctive external environment designed to connect the East Bank development with the surrounding waterfront landscape. Combining architectural paving, integrated seating and generous circulation routes, the project creates a durable and highly accessible civic space capable of supporting heavy pedestrian use throughout the year.

The defining feature of the scheme is Lubna Chowdhary’s ‘Temporal Trace’ artwork, formed from Ideal Work Rasico. Flowing across terraces, walkways and open gathering spaces, the repeated geometric pattern introduces movement, rhythm and visual identity while guiding visitors through the wider cultural quarter.

Delivered as part of one of London’s most significant regeneration projects, Stratford Waterfront demonstrates the successful integration of hard landscaping, public art and urban design to create a memorable and engaging civic environment with a strong sense of place.
