Contemporary Microcement Finishes for Corporate Interiors
Designed to deliver a refined and highly professional workplace environment, this major international bank headquarters in London combines seamless microcement wall finishes with contemporary architectural detailing to create an interior defined by restraint, material quality and understated luxury. Installed by Project TSC using Ideal Work Microtopping®, the scheme balances durability with a calm, gallery-like aesthetic suited to a modern corporate setting.
Throughout the reception spaces, circulation areas and transitional zones, Microtopping® was applied to walls in contrasting colours, introducing texture and tonal depth while maintaining a clean and uninterrupted visual language. The seamless finish works alongside natural timber detailing, integrated lighting and large-scale artwork to create a sophisticated atmosphere that feels both welcoming and quietly monumental.
Curved architectural forms are softened further by the subtle movement and handcrafted character of the microcement surfaces, allowing the material palette to feel tactile without becoming visually heavy. In darker areas, the Black finish creates contrast and intimacy, while the lighter Charcoal surfaces bring balance and brightness to the wider communal spaces.
The project demonstrates how decorative concrete finishes can be successfully integrated within high-end commercial interiors, providing a durable and low-maintenance solution without compromising on architectural quality. By combining seamless finishes with carefully controlled lighting and sculptural forms, the headquarters achieves a contemporary workplace environment that feels elegant, calm and highly considered.
