Shoreditch Signature – Textured Microcement Finishes for Contemporary Jewellery Retail
Located in the heart of Shoreditch, the Astrid & Miyu jewellery boutique combines soft contemporary styling with tactile surface finishes to create a warm and highly curated retail environment. Delivered using Ideal Work Microtopping®, the project introduces textured microcement wall and display finishes that complement the brand’s refined aesthetic while adding depth and material character throughout the space.
Installed by The Micro Cement Company, the scheme uses Microtopping® in Smoke with a “Roughcast” texture to achieve a softly weathered appearance with subtle tonal variation. Applied across feature walls and bespoke display furniture, the finish creates a cohesive backdrop that balances industrial influence with the boutique’s softer palette of blush upholstery, timber detailing and warm metallic accents.
The textured microcement surfaces bring a handcrafted quality to the interior, enhancing the intimate retail atmosphere while providing the durability required for a busy commercial environment. The seamless application also allows the jewellery displays and styling elements to remain the visual focus, creating a calm and understated setting that reflects the Astrid & Miyu brand identity.
