Located in Ashford, Middlesex, this residential extension project features Ideal Work Microtopping® flooring throughout a bright and contemporary open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area. Installed by The Flooring Co, the project combines seamless decorative concrete flooring with expansive glazing and clean architectural detailing to create a calm and cohesive family living environment.
Designed around openness and natural light, the scheme incorporates large black-framed windows and doors that connect the interior directly with the surrounding garden spaces. The continuous flooring surface enhances the sense of flow throughout the extension, linking the different functional areas while maintaining a refined and uncluttered aesthetic.
Microtopping® was applied in Beige Grey, producing a smooth decorative concrete finish with soft tonal variation and a subtle mineral appearance. The neutral microcement flooring complements the warm timber kitchen cabinetry, exposed brick feature wall, and colourful contemporary furnishings, allowing contrasting textures and materials to sit comfortably within the overall design scheme.
