Seamless Microcement Flooring for Flexible Workplace Interiors
Located in the heart of Farringdon, Hub Hub delivers a contemporary shared workspace environment designed to support collaboration, events, focused working and informal social interaction within a single cohesive interior. Installed by The Micro Cement Company, Ideal Work Microtopping® was used throughout the communal spaces to create seamless flooring capable of handling the demands of high-traffic commercial use while maintaining a clean and refined architectural appearance.
The project combines open-plan breakout areas, auditorium-style event spaces, meeting rooms and hospitality-led social zones, all unified through continuous Microtopping® finishes in Charcoal. The seamless decorative concrete flooring establishes visual consistency across the various functions of the workspace, helping the interior feel open, connected and adaptable.
Large glazed elevations flood the interiors with natural light, softening the industrial character of the exposed ceilings and linear lighting while enhancing the subtle tonal movement within the microcement surface. The muted floor finish works alongside pale timber detailing, contemporary furnishings and graphic elements to create a workspace that feels professional yet welcoming.
Designed around flexibility and interaction, the space supports a wide range of uses, from presentations and collaborative working to informal meetings and social gatherings. The uninterrupted flooring surface allows furniture layouts and event configurations to evolve easily without disrupting the overall aesthetic continuity of the scheme.
The result is a contemporary workplace interior that balances practicality with understated design, using seamless Microtopping® finishes to bring cohesion, durability and a calm material palette to this modern shared office environment.
